Patricia Lloyd Embrey

Benson – Patricia Lloyd Embrey, 89, Born in Port Angeles, Washington, on September 28, 1932, passed away on Friday. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, and brother. Patricia, 89, is survived by her husband of 72 years, Richard Wayne Embrey, Sr., daughter Linda Embrey Neubauer (Allan Neubauer), son Richard Wayne Embrey, Jr., (Cathy Embrey), daughter Cathleen Embrey Weathers, and daughter Lori Embrey Barefoot (Kevin Barefoot). She is also survived by nine grandchildren Brooke Smith, Jennifer Lovelace, Mark Neubauer, Melissa Jordan, Wayne Embrey, Jacob Weathers, Ryan Weathers, Nathan Weathers, and Tyler Barefoot. And eleven great grandchildren Embrey and Hadley Lovelace, Mia and Jude Neubauer, Everly, Arlo, and Leona Jordan, Ari Embrey, Sadie Smith, and Ellery and Maverick Barefoot. Patricia spent the first 20 years of her marriage as a military wife with many moves across our country as well as two moves to Germany. She retired after twenty plus years working for the Civil Service at the Military Entrance Processing Station. She was a long time member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Raleigh, owner of VonRillca Kennels where she bred & raised many litters of German Shepherds, and was an active member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Angier, NC. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 14664 NC-210, Angier, NC 27501. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church.
