CLAYTON - Patricia M. Wentworth, 89, passed away April 14th, 2019 at Rex UNC Hospital after several months of declining health. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC from 6:00-8:00PM. Burial services will be on Wednesday, April 17th at Oakwood Cemetery at 11 am in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Wentworth was born September 20th, 1929, in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Katherine and Sylvester “Pete” Cliver. Patricia had a long and successful career in accounting and sales with major oil companies in California and Texas before moving to North Carolina in 2005. Patricia and Harry Wentworth were married in 1966 and raised their two daughters, Susan and Sandra, in California. Following the death of her husband, Patricia became involved in the breeding and showing of miniature poodles in the Houston area. Her pets were very important to her. Pat had lifelong friendships, a great sense of humor and loved to talk. She was young at heart and naturally curious. She loved to travel and enjoyed the arts. She is survived by her daughter Susan Jackson, son in law Kenneth Jackson, grandchildren and daughter, Sandra Abrahams, and son-in-law David Abrahams. Her recent charitable donations include St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Clayton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the SPCA or the charity of their choice.
