Patrick Abran Gregory

Patrick A. Gregory, Jr (Mickey), as he was known to family, passed away July 23, 2024 at Duke University Hospital from complications following a heart attack. He was born November 28, 1954 and grew up in Franklin, NC.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents Patrick A. Gregory, Sr and Dorothy R. Gregory; his brother Marvin Gregory; and his Stepson Robert Dingus.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Rosa Gregory; his daughters, Jessica Meeks (James), and Ashley Gregory (Kyle); his grandchildren, Isla and Abran Meeks; sister, Phyllis Mason; brothers, Darrell Gregory (Connie) and Shane Gregory (Stacy); and sister-in-law, Janet Bullis.

Patrick was a loving and devoted Husband, Father and PawPaw. He worked in technology his entire life and enjoyed the complex and problem-solving nature of his work. His favorite thing was spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hosting people at his home and backyard pool with his wife, Rosa. He always said, “There’s room at the Gregory Hotel.” His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He coached many of his daughters’ softball teams and he never missed his granddaughter’s soccer games or his grandson’s t-ball games. Pat loved spending time outdoors, sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds at his feeders. He always looked forward to the annual family beach trips and trips to the NC mountains.

Visitation is Saturday, July 27, 2024, 2:00-4:00 pm at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2:00 pm at Wright Cemetery, 2685 Tessentee Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
