Paul L. Hilliard, Jr.

CLAYTON - Paul L. Hilliard, Jr., 82, of Clayton went to meet his Savior on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was born in Clayton, NC on June 17, 1931 to the late Paul Lynn Hilliard and Rena Irene Ellis Hilliard. He was one of twelve children. Paul was a salesman for Jesse Jones Sausage Company for 47 years. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He loved to sing and was a member of the churches first mens quartet. His passions other than his family were fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geroleen Dickens Hilliard. Three children, daughter, Delores Hilliard, son Dennis Hilliard and wife Patty of Clayton and son, Durwood Hilliard of Raleigh, six grandchildren, Shelly Hilliard and fiancé Victor Rivera of Charleston, SC, Ashley Lawson and husband Phillip of Four Oaks, James Paul (JP), Samantha, Elizabeth and Alexandra Hilliard all of Raleigh and the apple of his eye, great grandson, Ryder Lawson, sister, Eunice Viera of Massachusetts, brother, Ray Hilliard and wife, Frances of Pine Level and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd., Garner, NC. Funeral service will be Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11 AM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh, NC. Burial will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park.
