Pauline Martin Wright

Pauline Martin Wright, 75, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully Saturday,January 5thafter a brief illness.She was born in Mullins, SC on March 13, 1937.She worked at the NC Department of Transportation and retired after 30 years of service in 1996.Following her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband Charles, who was the love of her life.They were married August 14, 1955 and enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage together.She was a wonderful cook and decorator and loved entertaining her family and many friends. In addition to her devoted husband Charles, Pauline is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wright of the home; sister Ellen Marsh of Raleigh, NC, sister Catherine Lawrimore of Summerville, SC, and many nieces and nephews all who adored her and will miss her greatly.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Wright Parker and 6 sisters.There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, January 8th at 1:00 pm at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene.Visitation will be at 12:00 pm prior to the service at the church. A private family entombment will be held in the Chapel of Memories at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in her name to Hospice of Wake County, 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC.
