Pearl Fowler Avery

Raleigh - Pearl Fowler Avery, 88, a long time secretary for the N.C. Department of Mental Health, passed away Monday. Surviving are her sons, Roy B. Avery, Jr. (Paula) of Elon College and David Avery (Eileen) of Spotsylvania, VA; grandchildren, Chris Avery (Jessica) of Manassas Park, VA and Erin Avery of the home; great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Callie Avery; brother, G.V. Fowler (Peggy) of Erwin, N.C A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at North Raleigh United Methodist Church on Saturday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
