Pearl King Parrish

Garner – Pearl King Parrish, 71, passed away on Friday. A native of Duplin County, Pearl was daughter to the late Willie and Berta King.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Parrish, two sisters and one brother. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.  The family will receive friends following the service.  The burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Mt. Herman Christian Church Cemetery, Garner. She is survived by her sons, Chris Shepard (Jerri) of Garner, Tim Shepard (Ema) of Wake Forest; step-daughter, Sharon Maynard of Newton Grove; step-son, Joey Parrish of Princeton; three sisters; one brother; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
