Peggie Norris Dillon, 70, passed into the loving arms of Jesus, her Savior, on December 7, 2011, from her earthly home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 27, 1941 to Everette Dade and Betty Grimes Norris, both of whom predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Stacy Norris and one sister, Joyce Lee. She is survived by her husband of thirteen years, C. Wayne Dillon of the home. Surviving, in addition, are her children, James Mark Blackman and wife, Bridget of Willow Spring, Kim Blackman Barefoot of Raleigh, Candace Bowling Darden and husband, George of Greenville, NC and step-son, Mark A. Dillon and wife, Kim of Clayton; one sister, Brenda N. Parrish of Benson and one brother, Dan R. Norris and wife, Betsy of Raleigh; her four grandchildren, Daire, Dace, and Ky Barefoot and Avery Darden , one step-grandchild, Mitchell Lamm and wife, Patricia and her step-great grandchild, Lila Mae Lamm, were the delights of her life. Funeral arrangements include a visitation Saturday, December 10th from 1:30-3:00 PM at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, 301 N. Woodrow Street, Fuquay-Varina, followed by a Service of Remembrance. Her cremains will be committed to their final resting place at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh at a later date. The family will greet friends at the visitation and at other times at the home, 2017 Stonewall Farms Drive, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to their Christian brothers and sisters at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, all of Peggies doctors, the loving caregivers at the Cancer Centers of North Carolina, the medical professionals at WakeMed Cary, and the support team assigned to them from Hospice of Wake County for their prayers, visits, cards, food, and many other acts of kindness as they battled Peggies cancer with her for the past two years. We consider you all to be Gods Angels of Mercy.
