Peggy Aycock Medlin

Raleigh - Mrs. Peggy Aycock Medlin passed away on October 15, 2013. She was born in Wayne County to the late Elmer and Elsie Aycock of Fremont. Mrs. Medlin is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 56 years, Landis Medlin; her sister, Claire A. Gentry and her husband Coney of Oak Ridge, NC; and her brother, Spencer Aycock and his wife Carolyn of Wake Forest. Among her treasures were her five nieces and nephews. Peggy dearly loved her family and her church, Tabernacle Baptist, of which she was a member for 60 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Beverly, Alisa, and Veronica, for their devoted and loving care. The family also wishes to thank Hospice of Wake County for its support. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 19, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 8304 Leesville Road, Raleigh. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until Noon at the church. Entombment will be at 1:30 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, 8304 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
