Peggy B. Blalock

WILLOW SPRING- Peggy B. Blalock, 90, a resident of Raleigh, NC, passed away on March 10, 2012. For the last year, she had been living in Willow Spring, NC, with her son Danny and his wife Judy. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Archie Blalock, Jr. in 1970; her parents Billy Blalock, Jr. and Maggie Wood Blalock; her brothers Tyson, Lacy, and Billy III; and her sisters Mattie, Hazel and Hilda Gray.She is survived by her sons; Danny Blalock and wife, Judy and Richard (Ric) Blalock. Peggy was so proud of her sons and would tell anyone of her love for them. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren; Cindy Blalock Honeycutt (Lin) and Kevin Blalock (Angela), four step-great-grandchildren; Kayla Honeycutt, Casey Honeycutt, Raegan Blalock and Kaeden Blalock (whom she called my little man); and one step-great-great-granddaughter; Elaina Nicole Honeycutt. Peggy was also Granny to Katie and Georgia, two children she adored and babysat when they were very young. Peggy leaves behind many nieces, nephews and special friends who meant so much to her in her later years.The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Wake County for all their wonderful in-home care during Peggys final months. Special and heartfelt thanks to Hospices employeesand volunteers, especially Pat, Julie, Fran, LaShondra, Lynn, Paula and Dr. Nichols for their excellent and loving care of our mother. She adored each and every one of them. We are also grateful to the staff at Laurels of Forest Glenn, a nursing facility in Garner, NC, for the loving care they gave to Peggy in her final weeks.Flowers are welcome, but memorial contributions in Peggys name may be made to Hospice of wake County 250 Hospice Cr. Raleigh, NC 27607.The family will receive friends, Tuesday, March 13, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. At Peggys request, there will be no public viewing.A graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park, Wednesday March 14, at 11:00 AM, where Peggy will rest beside her beloved Husband Archie Blalock, Jr.
