Philip Carl Cosentino

July 3, 1979 — August 5, 2022

KNIGHTDALE – Philip Carl Cosentino, 43, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Philip is survived by his wife, Beth (Fraher) Cosentino; children, Patrick (age 4) and Dorothy (age 2) Cosentino; mother, Lucyann Lester; father, Carl Patrick Cosentino and wife, Deborah Ann Cosentino; sister, Theresa Felde and husband, Steven; brothers-by-marriage, David Fraher; Michael Fraher and wife, Danielle, and their four children, Brianna, Mikaela, Matthew, Lynnea; Joseph Fraher; his special canine companion, Cooper Wetbeard; and a host of extended family and friends. Philip was a talented musician and was passionate about playing and listening to music. He loved to play bass, guitar, and piano. He also saved a special saxophone for Patrick, that he promised he would teach him when he was older. He was the most loving, devoted, and adoring husband and father. His wife and children were the most important in his life and he did anything to make sure they knew how special and perfect they were to him. He enjoyed spending time with his family playing music, dancing, and singing. And as the kids were getting older, he was finding enjoyment in going to places like the Zoo, Aquarium, Museums, and carnival like festivals, even if they were “too peopley”. Philip worked as a TAC Analyst for Bandwidth. He enjoyed the work he did and the friendships he made. His wife always enjoyed the fun stories he’d share about his “band mates”. The friendships he made were valued tremendously and they will forever be part of the family. Philip made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His kindness, generosity, and calmness of his soul will be missed by everyone he touched. A story shared by his neighbor speaks to the type of person he was: “Phil will be remembered as one of the kindest neighbors I’ve ever had. You may know the Cosentino family as the family that lives in the “gnome home”. Or you may know Phil because you’ve heard him playing guitar and singing on his front porch (my favorite). He’s also been seen boxing out in the yard or using a tree as his bag. One thing for sure, if you have ever had an interaction with Phil - you couldn’t help but experience his kindness and welcoming smile.” There are no words to express how much Phil was loved and how much he will be missed. His kindness and gentle soul will forever live in our memories. Philip’s family will hold a private prayer service on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh, followed by a public Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Bandwidth - 900 Main Campus Drive Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27606. The family requests all attendees to wear green in honor of Philip. For those attending the Celebration of Life, it is also requested that you bring your favorite story or memory of Phil written down on paper, as the family intends to collect those stories to publish a memory book for his children. The family feels this would mean so much to the children to one day read your wonderful stories and memories of their daddy in the hopes that they gain a sense of all the love and joy he brought to this world. Paper will be provided for those who do not have memories pre-written. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you provide a garden gnome in memory of Philip to be placed in a remembrance garden at their home. Funeral arrangements are by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Raleigh. Online condolences may be made at www.bryan-leefuneralhome.com
