Philip Elmer Vanderoef

RALEIGH, NC - Philip E. Vanderoef passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2022. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Elmer & Edythe (Arciero) Vanderoef.

As a young man he worked at Huguenot Yacht Club New Rochelle, NY, He then worked over 40 years for Duracell Battery Co. Retiring to North Carolina in 2008. Phil loved playing Tennis at Empie Park while living in Wilmington, NC. For the past 20 years he enjoyed restoring vintage radios. But mostly he loved spending time with family & friends.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Maryellen Ward Vanderoef, His 2 Brothers Richard & Gary. His 5 children Karen (Nicky) Lusuriello, Brian (Kim), Heidi (John) Dasconio, Amy (Jim) & Beth. 5 Grandchildren Anthony (Breanna), Christopher, Matthew (Briana) Kelly (Mike) and Wyatt. And 1 Great Granddaughter Emma Grace.

There will be a Private Burial Service at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Avon, CT.
