Phyllis Sitterson Mitchiner

RALEIGH- Phyllis Sitterson Mitchiner, 82, died Sunday. Born in Plymouth, NC, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Earl Sitterson and Emma Neal Sitterson. She later moved to Garner where she lived and enjoyed a successful career in real estate for over 50 years. Phyllis was active in her church and served on the school board. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include daughters, Jane Wood and husband, Mike of Clayton and Lynne Mitchiner of Moneta, VA; son, Sam Mitchiner and wife, Penny of Garner; sisters, Jaenet S. Duie and husband, James of Raleigh,  Gail S. Elliot and husband, Kenneth of Reno, NV and Alexa S. Chattin and husband, Brent of Clayton; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wake County EMS, 331 S. McDowell St., Raleigh, NC 27601.
