R. Virgil Rev. Whitehurst

Fuquay-Varina - Rev. Ralph Virgil Whitehurst, 83 went to be with the Lord on Saturday. He was born in Pitt Co. to the late Claude and Lossie Bell Whitehurst and he served his country in the US Air Force and U S Army as a chaplain; he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Ralph Whitehurst, siblings, Virginia Belle, Louallie, Christine, Josephine, Garland and Harril.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church 1701 Bud Lipscomb Rd., Willow Springss, NC and burial to follow in the church cemetery with military honors.He is survived by two daughters: Denise B. Whitehurst Baxter of England and Carol L. Whitehurst of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Stephen, Claire and Emma Baxter, six great grandchildren and his very special companion, Taffy.Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, Willow Springss, NC.
