Rachel Stephenson Parrish

Angier-Rachel Stephenson Parrish, 89, passed away Monday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Clingman and Betty Johnson Stephenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Buddy Parrish; daughter, Brenda Jane Parrish; brother, Harvey Stephenson; sisters, Elise Morris, Mae Morris, Lunette Langdon, Hazel Johnson, Goldie Young, Ada Bowden, Beatrice S. Dobbs, Reba Vaughn, Bernice Coats, Clevene Walker, and Martha Faison. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at White Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rachel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom she cared for deeply, especially Joy Cox and her husband, Rick who helped her in her later years. She will be remembered for the special care she gave to her family. The family would also like to thank the staff at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab for their amazing care, and also Dee Dee Ennis, her initial caregiver in her home.
