Raeford E. Jackson

Raeford E. Jackson, 81, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. A native of Johnston Co, he was the son of the late Leldon and Mary Jackson. Raeford was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Dorothea Dix Hospital for many years. He also proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Friday Oct. 19, 2018 at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton with Military Honors. Along with his parents Raeford was preceded in death by his wife Patricia of 55 years in June; and a son, Ashley R. Jackson; one sister and one brother. He is survived by a son; Billy Jackson and wife Kim; daughter, Sarah J. Buffaloe and husband Allen; four grandchildren, Nikke Hefner, Ryan Jackson, Ashlyn Buffaloe and A. J. Buffaloe; three great-grandchildren Noah, Lily and Grace Hefner and one on the way Amelia Jackson and extended family. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the church.
