Ray Blalock

WILLOW SPRING- Alton Ray Blalock, 63, Passed away on Friday. A native of Wake County, Ray was the son of Rozella Pollard Blalock and the late Alvin Jackson Blalock. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Kennebec Baptist Church, 9808 Kennebec Church Rd. Angier, NC 27501. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of Melanie Blalock. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Melanie Pitt Blalock; daughter, Lynn Johnson and wife, Alyssa Hellman of Clayton; sons, Travis Blalock and wife, Tiffany of Mt. Orab, OH, Ethan Blalock of Willow Spring, Wade Blalock and wife, Julia of Bennett, CO, Taylor Blalock of Willow Spring; grandchildren, Sunni, Ryland, Brady and Faith; sister, Shirleen Beddard and husband, Garland of Wilson. In addition to his father, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, David Blalock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kennebec Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, P.O. 1690 Angier, NC 27501 in Ray’s memory.
