Ray Lawhorn

GARNER- Milton Ray Lawhorn, 76, died Wednesday morning, February 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Ray was born in Johnston County to the late Sam and Catherine Grant Lawhorn. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Crumpler, Florence Holley, and Margie Massengill; brothers, John Lawhorn and Linwood Lawhorn. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Richardson Lawhorn; sons, Dennis Lawhorn (Lynne) of Clayton and Keith Lawhorn of Garner; daughters, Donna Pearce (Kenny) of Raleigh and Karen Strickland (Dana) of Four Oaks; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam “Sammy” Lawhorn of Selma and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mt. Herman Christian Church, 8925 White Oak Road, Garner, NC. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Committal service will be held at 3:00 pm later that day at Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Cemetery, 6439 Brogden Road, Smithfield, NC.
