Raymond G. Holt

Raymond George Holt, 79, died at home Monday surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Garret Holt. Mr. Holt served our country as a proud member of the US Marines. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joan Holt; daughter, Debi Short (James) of Clayton; sons, Raymond Holt, Jr. (Jean) , Thomas Holt (Jackie), all of PA and Gregory Holt (Tiffany)of MI; grandchildren, Andrew , Zachary, Wyatt, Thomas, Jr. , Justin, Morgan Rae, Amy Lynn, Stephanie, Janian and Christian; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and seven brothers. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dennis Holt; sister, Goldie Shirk and brothers, Dennis Holt and Bruce Holt. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
