Raymond Theodore Schaler

Raleigh - Raymond Theodore Schaler, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Wake Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Stephen D. and Retha Cooke Schakler. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Schaler is survived by his wife, Vivian L. Schaler; a son, Carl Stephen (Susan) Schaler of Raleigh; a daughter, Karen C. Schaler of Raleigh; granddaughter, Julie (Bill) Tallitsch; great grandchildren Emery and Adriene Tallitsch, as well as his beloved cats: Ms. Kitty and Marigold. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh NC 27604. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1417 Clifton St., Raleigh, NC 27604
