Rayvon Nooney

ANGIER -Rayvon Nooney, 75, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Rayvon operated the Tastee Freeze in Angier and earlier in his life was employed by Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Dredging Co., and prior to his retirement, he was employed by N C State University. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday September 12, 2011 at Angier Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Rayvon was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Nooney Cockrell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sue Stephenson Nooney; a daughter, Robin Nooney; a son, Jonathan Nooney and wife Chris; a sister Dorothy N. Shelton and husband Billy;a brother, Thomas Nooney ( died Sept. 10, 2011) and wife Juanita; and four grandchildren, Jana Joyner, Leslie Joyner, Tim Nooney and Rob Nooney. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday from 6 - 8 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. Angier. The family wishes to express our gratitude for the wonderful and compassionate care received from Dr.Voorhees, John Strader, PA and staff and the 3rdfloor infusion services staff of UNC Cancer hospital.
