Rebecca Long Blackburn

ANGIER - Rebecca Long Blackburn, 58, a retired Math teacher at Harnett Central Middle School, passed away on Sunday morning. A native of Bladen County she was the daughter of the late John Lee and Hazel Memory Long. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Angier Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at the Long Family Cemetery in Bladenboro. Surviving: her husband of thirty six years, Rev. Grover K. Blackburn, Jr., daughter, Lauren Blackburn Huggins and husband, Spencer of Winston Salem, sons, Jonathan Blackburn of Angier, Hunter Blackburn and wife, Sally of Raleigh, sister, Janice L. Lewis of Bladenboro, brothers, Currie Long, Marshall Long, Ralph Long, Donald Long all of Bladenboro, Jimmy Long of Elizabethtown, and Stanley Long of St. Paul. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, John Lee Long, Jr., and Horace Long. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Angier Baptist Church and at other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Angier Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 130, Angier, NC 27501.
