Rebecca P. Smith

GARNER-Rebecca P. “Becky” Smith, 68, passed away Tuesday at Wake Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Ruth Purser. Becky was employed by the Wake County Public School System. She loved all types of needle crafts, especially quilting, however her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Smith Family Cemetery, Kipling, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Bob Smith; daughter, Margaret Smith York (John); son, Tripp Smith (Jennifer); grandchildren, Ashlyn & Lauren Morgan and Celiah Smith; brother, Mike Purser (Martha) as well as a large and loving extended family. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Smith Schmidt and brother, Pat Purser.
