Richard Herman Blausey

WILLOW SPRING – Richard Herman Blausey, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 10, 2023. Richard was born on January 16, 1950, in Lucas County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Richard Blausey, Sr., and Dorothy Blausey.

Richard attended Genoa High School, then graduated from the University of Toledo with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He married Lois Koppenhhofer on July, 26 1975. In 2008 he was a founding partner of SDG (Soli Deo Gloria) Laser Engraving. He enjoyed being a flight instructor and an amateur radio operator; as well as, teaching after school science clubs, leading Bible Studies, and working with the homeless.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lois Blausey; sons, John Blausey (Laura), and Robert Blausey (Samantha); sisters, Jacqueline Yourist, and Jeanne Blausey; and grandchildren, Jonathan Blausey, Claire Blausey, and Paige Blausey.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 11:00 am, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529, with the burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1621 NC-55, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
