Richard Hinton “Buddy” Wiggins

Richard Hinton “Buddy” Wiggins, Jr., 90, a resident of Springmoor Retirement Community died Tuesday at Steward Health Center.  Richard was a veteran of the US Navy and was a retired civil engineer with the NCDOT.  He was a member and deacon of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brown Wiggins in 1995. Surviving are his son, Richard H. Wiggins, III of Temecula, CA; grandson, Wyatt James Wiggins of Temecula, CA; brother, Robert Earl Wiggins, Sr. of Greensboro, NC. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery.  A service honoring his life will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday in the Springmoor Auditorium. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 8304 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
