WILLOW SPRING – Rickey Herbert Page, 65, died Tuesday at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Rickey was a loving husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Herbert Page and Lucille Pearce. His hobbies included racing at Wake, Wilson and Pender County Speedways as well as Roanoke Rapids and The Fayetteville Speedways in his cars numbered 22 and 50. He loved having a manicured lawn and pond. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at White Memorial Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joan Stephenson Page; daughters, Kristy Gathings and husband, Tony of Willow Spring and Denise Strickland of Garner; son, Joey Barbour and wife, Pandora of Clayton; sister, Marcia Page of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Emily, Jonah and Noah Ashworth, Deborah Coley, Danielle Strickland, Autumn Barbour and Lindsay Jones; great granddaughter, Sloane Coley. In addition to his parents, Rickey was preceded in death by his son, Jack Barbour. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1459 White Memorial Church Road, Willow Spring, NC 27592.
