Ricky Glenn Walker

COATS – Ricky Glenn Walker, 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Willie Glenn Walker and Dorothy Windham Walker. He dearly loved his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved to ride his mule, Cletus.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19th at 11:00 am at Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 5355 Red Hill Church Road, Coats, NC, 27521. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the church prior to the service.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sherrie Adams Walker; daughter, Tiffany Howell and husband, Tony of Willow Spring; son, Jonathan Walker and wife, Christine of Coats; grandchildren, Madison Williams and husband, Cody, Trinity Black and husband, Sean, Cadence Walker, Cameron and Paige Howell, and Natalie Cronin-Faulk; great-grandchildren, Micah Black, Hunter Williams; sisters, Ann Williams and husband, Ricky of Benson, Cindy “Sandy” Eakes and husband, David of Clayton, Brenda Stancil and husband, Dewayne of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Tammy Acree and husband, Richard of Princeton; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Walker; and aunt, Mamie Walker.
