Angier-Riddley D. Young, 84, passed away on Friday at her home. A native of Harnett County she is the daughter of the late Mack C. Dupree and Nettie Holmes Dupree. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Angier Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.Surviving are her daughters, Betty Jean (B. J.) Young and husband, Steve Silvers, Phyllis Rea and husband, Steve, Beverly Partin and husband, Ken, grandchildren, Jessica King and husband, Brian, Nathaniel Silvers, Sarah Silvers, Tyler Rea, great-grandchildren, McKenna and Marley King; sister-in-law, Edna Earle Kelly; special friend and neighbor, Melba Lee Stephenson, several loving nieces and nephews, and Allison Lynn Beasley and Roger Beasley to whom she was like a grandmother.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Weldon Young, sisters, Mabel Young, Maude Carroll, Laylon Holland, brothers, Crosby Dupree and Garland Dupree, special cousin, Iris Johnson; sisters-in-law, Cleo Johnson, Christine Dupree, Letha King, and Clyda Dupree.The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 -3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
