On September 14th, 2024, our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Riley Kathryn Geith passed away unexpectedly in a car accident.
Riley’s humorous spirit leaves a tall mark on this world. Her height and unique style were her signature. Riley’s independent spirit and confidence, knowing exactly who she was, made her presence in our world even more impressive.
In June of this year, Riley graduated from Sanderson High School. She was a student at Wake Tech Community College.
Riley enjoyed spending time playing games on her computer, Xbox, and iPad and she had a strong connection with her online community. She loved to crochet little animals for her friends and family, just as much as she loved caring for all living creatures. Her love of Panera Bread mac and cheese led her to pursue a job there so she could eat it whenever she wanted. She loved working at Panera and always brought treats home after her shift.
When it came to having fun, Frankie’s Fun Park was her happy place, and she was always up for visiting an amusement park. Even though Riley didn’t like to ride the rollercoasters, she loved the park characters and shopping. She happily served as our amusement park “map”, always navigating the parks for her friends and family. We would all still be lost in a park somewhere if it weren’t for Riley’s navigational skills.
Most of all, we will miss Riley’s unique humor and wit that brought us all joy and laughter.
Those left to honor her memory are her parents, Will and Angie Geith; her siblings, Skylar and Cooper; grandparents, Jim Geith (Gin Armacost), Nancy Geith; her cat, Chad, who shared her independent spirit, and her beloved dog, Sage, a Great Dane who matched her height. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grammy Dixie and Pa (Dixie and Steve King). Riley leaves behind many friends, who are considered equal members of her family.
The family invites friends to celebrate Riley’s life with a party at Frankie’s Fun Park, 11190 Fun Park Dr, Raleigh NC, 27617 on Wednesday, October 2 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
We believe Riley would want us to carry on her love and support of animals to honor her. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, pet supplies and funds be donated to Saving Grace in Riley’s memory. https://tinyurl.com/2haxe9t5
