HOLLY SPRINGS - Robbie Lee Wright (ne Penny), 60, of HollySprings passed away following a brief illness on Thursday, February 14, 2013. She was surrounded at the time by her loving family. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Monday, February 18th, 2013 at 2:00pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner followed immediately by a visitation with the family. Robbie was born on June 21, 1952 in Garner, the daughter of Edith Sauls Conyers. She was one of five children. She married Roger Wright in 1971 and had two wonderful children, Stephanie and Jason. For the past 20+ years, Robbie worked for Capital Associates, a commercial real estate firm in Cary, as a vital part of their Accounting Department. Robbie was an incredibly vibrant person, and one who loved life with an admirable intensity. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Robbie was very dedicated to those she loved, especially her family. She was an integral part of her large family, always one to provide witty jokes and animated conversation. Robbie enjoyed traveling and especially treasured long weekends visiting her sister in Greensboro. Robbie also enjoyed shopping, playing golf, and spending time with her many friends at 12 Oaks and Bentwinds Country Clubs. Robbie was never one to waste a moment, and could always be counted on to add her invaluable presence and enthusiasm to any gathering, big or small. There are not words adequate enough to express how much she will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Robbie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 42 years, Roger; daughter Stephanie White (husband Patrick) of Apex and grandson Nicholas White; and son Jason Wright (partner Desmond Wilson) of Raleigh. Robbie is also survived by her mother and step-father Edith and Stan Conyers of Garner; sister Debbie Willard (husband Randy) of Greensboro; and brothers Dale Penny (wife Ag) of Cary, Don Penny (wife Sharon), Philip Penny (wife Sheree) both of Garner; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews. Last but not least, Robbie is survived by five very special granddogs: Bailey, Hudson, Vivian, Reed, and Phoebe. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses in The Intensive Care Unit at Rex Hospital in Raleigh for their efforts and compassion while treating Robbies illness. Each member of the team seemed to take a personal interest in both Robbies wellbeing as well as that of the extended family that was by her side day and night. Robbie will be forever cherished and loved by her family, and by a multitude of great friends, to whom she was very dedicated.
