Robert "Bob" Lewis King

Robert “Bob” Lewis King, age 65, of Garner, NC died Thursday, January 18, 2024 in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC. He was born in Wadesboro, NC to the late John Thomas and Juanita Norris King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Watson.

To cherish his memory, he is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Lisa McCollum King; his daughter, Jessica Megan Takacs and her husband, Scott; his son, Troy Robert King and his wife, Megan; his brother, John King; his sister, Margo Smith and her husband, Bobby; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Although Bob was born in Wadesboro, his upbringing was in Garner where he later would graduate from Garner High School and then Wake Technical Community College. He worked for Capital Broadcasting, Public Service of NC, Blue Ridge Stone Company, B&B Stone Masonry, Bob King Stone Masonry, Lowe’s and Adesa.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am in Victory Church, 2825 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC 27603.
