Robert Fass

Robert Fass, 82, passed away at his home in Cary, NC on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in New York City on April 30, 1936, Bob earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and served his country in the US Army. His love of literature and history led him to the classroom where he discovered an enduring passion for teaching. Over his decades in education, he forged close relationships with countless students and colleagues. Bob worked in public schools as well as at Temple Emanu-el’s religious school. He was a natural. With his wife of 48 years, Louise, Bob enjoyed a rich life, filled with travel, culture and the arts. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Regina Fass; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Jeffrey Breeze; four beloved grandchildren, Michal, Erez, Caroline and Joseph. An only child, Bob loved and was loved by his extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery.
