Robert Leon Thomas

Robert “Bob” L. Thomas, born March 26, 1942, passed away on December 29, 2022.

Formerly employed by US Foods out of Zebulon. Bob’s cancer took a really bad turn in 2011,

which forced him to retire. Over his many years of service, Bob formed many friendships with

co -workers. After three battles since 2011 with cancer and surviving, this fourth time has

taken the ultimate toll. Bob is leaving behind his loving wife, Judy Messer Crissman Thomas.

Bob has a son from his first marriage, wife Moya, deceased from breast cancer. Jeremy Thomas

worked a short period of time with US Foods before moving to NC State Board of Education.

Jeremy has two daughters, and one granddaughter soon to arrive which Bob will miss. Bob is

also leaving behind his stepson, Wesley Crissman, retired NC State Trooper and now a Security

Guard. Bob will also miss the arrival of a new grandson soon to arrive.

Survivors from the Thomas family are Jeremy, son and wife Tara, their 2 daughters; Sue Niles,

(sister) husband Bob deceased, William (brother) and wife, Yoneko, Donald (brother) and wife

Julie, James (brother) wife Dolly deceased, John (brother) and wife Jackie. Many cousins, nieces

and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Thomas, Larry Thomas

(brother), Michael Thomas (brother).

Survivors from the Anderson family are Wilma Anderson; Marshall and Bernetta Anderson;

Laurel and Pat Anderson, LaRoy Messling (wife Marlene deceased). Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death are Carol Anderson, Elwood Anderson, Loa Nelson and Larry Nelson

Survivors from the Crissman family are Wesley Crissman and wife Amy, Collene and Stacey

Barbour, Bobby and Gail Messer, Mickey and Madge McBryde, Jerry Bridges and Bonita, KC

Bridges (Fosteen deceased), Vera Jones (Art deceased). Many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Bryan-

Lee Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 1200 Benson Road (Highway 50), Garner, NC

27529. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
