Robert Lewis Liles

WILLOW SPRING – Robert Lewis Liles, 61, passed away Saturday morning surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Durwood and Ruby Collins Liles.

Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Liles; daughters Dana Liles Vanderford (Grant) and Cristy Liles Speight (Robert); grandchildren Easton Vanderford and Elaina Speight; brother David Liles; nieces Tonya Liles Painter and Heather Liles Rudder; and cousins Joan Wilkerson and Kathryn Watt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ricky Liles and Ronnie Liles.

A man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, Robert loved the beach, being on the water, the rhythm of beach music, traveling, grilling, the thrill of deep-sea fishing and adventures with his family and friends. His loyal dog was always by his side. He was young at heart, selfless and always looked for and saw the best in people, reminding his family, the good was there, “they just don’t show that on the news.”

Above all else, Robert cherished his family. Sunday night family dinners were a sacred tradition, where laughter and love filled the air, and he always reveled in the joy of being with “his three girls.” “Easton man” was his buddy and he treasured his sweet Elaina Grace. His family was his anchor, and his love for them was unwavering. Robert's spirit, love, and warmth will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Plymouth Church, 6104 Rock Service Station Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603. A private burial will follow.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1241 Old Fairground Road, Willow Spring, NC 27952.
