GARNER – Robert Lynn Smith, Jr., 83, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Garner with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. The son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Adams Smith, he was born in Guilford County on April 11, 1935. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and faithfully served his country during the Korean Conflict. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 45 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Smith; daughters, Dayne Dosher of South Port, Lisa Stubbe and husband, Kevin of Sarasota, FL, Nancianne Campbell of High Point, Susan Setzer and husband, Shane of Garner; sons, Robert Lynn Smith, III of Wendell, Ron Hevener and wife, Pat of Clinton; sister, Nancy Shurtleff and husband, Gordon of Burnesville; brother, Clifford Smith of Butner; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
