Robert “Uncle Bud” Reid, Jr.

Willow Spring- Robert Miller Reid, Jr., 77, passed away on Saturday at his home with his loving wife by his side. A native of Carteret County, he was the son of the late Robert and Anna Jarman Reid. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:00 PM at Plymouth Church, 6104 Rock Service Station Rd. Raleigh, NC 27603. Immediately following the service all those in attendance are welcome to join the family at their home, 130 Penoak Dr. Willow Spring, NC 27592 for a time of fellowship. Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years, Katherine S. Reid; his two dogs who were more like his children, Mickie and Teddy; sisters, Betty Reid Miller of Kenly; five nieces; four nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Jessie Kathryn Mercer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Church, 6104 Rock Service Station Rd. Raleigh, NC 27603 in Robert’s memory.
