Robert Wayne Tingen

FUQUAY-VARINA– Robert Wayne Tingen, 79, died Sunday at his home. Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late Robert Davis Tingen and Josephine Knight Tingen. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Fuquay-Varina. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy “Dot” Tingen; daughter, Denise Tingen Snead (Sammy) of Fuquay-Varina; son, Kevin Tingen (Marilee) of Angier; grandchildren, Daniel Lanier (Susan), Derek Lanier, Courtney Schuler (Donnie), Richard Shipe (Kait), Zachary Tingen (Jessica), Rebecca Stimmel (Ryan), and Alec Tingen; and eight great-granchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Candace Snead. Flowers are welcome, although donations may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
