Roberta Garris Thomas

Roberta Garris Thomas, 80, passed away Friday. She was the daughter of the late Jonah Garris and Lois Rhoades Garris Harvey. She was a bookkeeper by profession and enjoyed genealogy. Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Thomas (Wendy) of Littleton, Tracy Thomas (Tammy) and Theadore Thomas (Lesia), all of Garner; brother, Howard Harvey (Sonja) of Horsehead, NY; sisters-in-law, Margaret Garris of Winter Garden, FL, Carmen Thomas of Enon, OH and Zelda Gabel of Addison, NY; brother-in-law, Wayne Thomas of Montross, CO; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews , as well as her special caregivers, Glenda Pennington and Wendy Lamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Louis C. Thomas; daughter, Deana Mason Kirsch; sisters, Patricia Harmon, Virginia Garris; brothers, Ralph Harvey, Jr., Stanton (Joy) Garris , Wolford (Peck)Garris and Robert Garris.
