Rodney Lewis Sheffield

September 28, 1970 - February 13, 2011 GARNER - Rodney passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 13, 2011. He was a native of York County, VA. He was a 1989 Graduate of Tabb, high School and served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. Rod as he was affectionately known by all the friends and co-workers that loved him, was a System Administrator for CARQUEST, Raleigh, N.C. Rodney enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends and had a great love and knowledge of computers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret A. Sheffield, his paternal grandparents Elvin Lewis Sheffield, S.R. and Nannie Belle Sheffield and his maternal grandparents James Edward Hogge and Helen Margaret Hogge. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, Elvin Lewis Sheffield, J.R; two sisters Donna R. Stall and Connie L Newell. Five nephews, Christopher, Aaron, and Andrew Newell. Jason and Brandon Monger. Two Nieces, Melissa Monger and Allison Newell, and a host of great nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Frank Sponsel for all his help the last few days. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2pm at the Bryan-Lee Funeral, Garner N.C In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be made to your favorite charity in Rodneys name.
