Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family which includes a daughter, Stacy (Brian) Sawyer of Garner, NC. His grandchildren, Cody (Danielle) Sawyer of Clayton, NC, Kali Sawyer of Clayton, NC, Ryan Sawyer of Garner, NC and Connor Sawyer of Garner, NC. His sister, Virginia Silvernail of Albany, NY and brother, Rick (Houn) Silvernail of Hawaii and sister-in-law, Anne Kramer of Garner, NC. Roger was predeceased by his wife, Gale Silvernail and his side-kick chocolate lab, Molly.
