Ronald (Ronnie) Lawrence Bohmuller, passed away, January 4, 2023, at Duke University Medical Center, after an extended illness, following heart surgery. Ronnie was a retired Disabled Veteran in the United States Air Force, a member of the Foreign Technology Division (AFSC) in Dayton Ohio. Received his BS degrees in Geography and Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He volunteered his time, donating his expertise in technology with businesses and the school system in Johnston County and was a great mentor to young adults. Ronnie loved his community and advocated for change to improve and maintain the area he called home. He loved nature, his two dogs, and had several hobbies including birdwatching, gardening, and giving his time freely to help friends and neighbors.
A memorial mass will take place at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Wendell on January 24th at 12:00 P.M. The family will greet friends following the mass. Ronnie will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gloria Bohmuller; and brothers, Frederick and Karl Bohmuller. In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother Stephen.
