Ronzie L. Doc Holmes

JUNE 26, 1939 - MARCH 7, 2012 GARNER - Ronzie L. Doc Holmes, 72, a retired longtime employee of Sapps Welding Inc., passed away Wednesday at Wake Medical Center. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Elijah and Hettie Mae Stone Holmes. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Edith Patterson Holmes; daughters, Tina Howell and husband, Kenny of Hampstead, Lisa Lynn Holmes and Crystal Gayle Holmes, both of Four Oaks; sons, Tony Holmes and wife, Kay and, Steve Holmes and wife, Kathy, all of Benson; sisters, Verlene Barbour, Jean Norris and Diane Matthews, all of Coats; brothers Thomas Holmes of Coats and Roy Holmes of Garner; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
