ANGIER, NC- Rose May (Fisher, Fitch) Allison, 84, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at the home of Max and Christy Rouse. Rose was born in Northfield, MA on Dec. 12, 1932; she was the daughter of the late Arthur O. Fisher, Sr. and Irene G. Masterson Fisher. Rose was educated in Northfield Schools. Rose was first married to John R. Fitch and they lived in the Mechanicville, NY area for 29 years before returning to Orange MA. Rose was employed at a grocery store for several years and later became a nanny and worked for several families in private homes. Rose had been a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Orange and had enjoyed pioneering and spreading the word of the Bible for over 60 years, bringing 30 people to the truth. Rose leaves a daughter, Rebecca Ann Marquez and husband, Isaiah Florez Marquez; grandson, Logan John Marquez all of Bunnlevel, NC; daughter, Sharon May Fitch and granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Fitch both of Clifton Park, NY; sisters, Delores Boom of Mechanicville, NY, Christine Ewell and husband, David Ewell of Wendell, MA; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rose was predeceased by her first husband, John Fitch on Oct. 22, 1996 and her second husband, Joe Allison on March 30, 2011; a brother, Arthur O. Fisher, Jr. on May 11, 1994; and a sister Joan Winship on April 4, 2010. Rose enjoyed her family, friends, gardening (especially her rose bushes), bible studies, music, painting and travel when she was able. Her favorite things to do were playing checkers and Uno with Logan and Courtney and eating out at the Family Hibachi. A memorial service will be held for Rose on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall, 4200 Piney Grove Rd. Angier, NC 27501 at 4:00 pm. A memorial service will also be held for her at the Kingdom Hall on Route #202 in Orange, MA at a later date.
