Roy Lee Adams, Jr.

ANGIER – Roy Lee Adams Jr., 83, passed away on Monday at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Adams, Sr. and Blanch Owen Adams.

Roy Lee loved nothing more to spend time with his family and friends, especially if they had something to argue about. He loved sports trivia and spending time with his grandchildren. He worked as an insurance adjuster for 40 years and traveled through all but two states. He loved to relax by playing cards with family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 20 at Angier Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3: 45 pm on Saturday prior to the service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.

Roy Lee is survived by his wife, Nancy Maurine Adams; sons, Chad Adams (Amy) of Angier, and Roddy Adams (Angie) of Angier; grandchildren, Owen Dixon, Kendyl Dixon, Mason Adams, Caden Adams, and Leah Adams; siblings, Glenda Zimmerman of Winston-Salem and Ann Adams Walker of Angier; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Adams McLeod, Lula Gray Adams, Barbara Adams Butts, Patsy Adams Matthews; and brother, Lloyd Owen Adams.
