Roy Neal Moore, Jr.

Garner- Roy Neal Moore Jr., 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2023. Roy was born on March 1, 1932 in Wake County, North Carolina. Roy was the son of the late Roy Neal Moore Sr. and Mamie Durham Moore. Roy was predeceased by his wife (Lora Ann Moore), his parents and one brother (Charles Allen Moore) and one sister (Frances Moore Thayer).

Roy was a graduate of Garner High School, class of 1950 and UNC Chapel Hill, class of 1954. Roy was retired from Great American Insurance Co. and Enterprise Car Rental Co. Roy was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel fan and New York Yankees fan. Roy’s greatest joy in life was spending time at his place at the beach in Salter Path, NC.

Roy is survived by his children, Roy Neal Moore III (Sharon), Karen Moore Woodall (Dave) and Steven Neal Moore (Kristen); Grandchildren, Nicole (Michael), Ryan (Heather), Bryant (Jesse), Cody (Christine), Shannen, Chase, Remington (Jordan) and Brody. Great Grandchildren; Cooper, Cassidy, Peyton, Wyatt, Walker, Easton and Carter.

No services are planned per his request, a private family service will be held at the beach at a later date.
