Ruby M. Partin

RALEIGH – Ruby Mitchell Partin, 95, a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday. A native of Durham Co., she was the daughter of the late William T. and Ada Whitley Mitchell. An active member of Plymouth Church, she served as church pianist for more than 35 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Plymouth Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving: daughter, Julie P. Starr and husband, Stewart, Fuquay-Varina; son, Lane Partin and wife, Becky of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Mary Gail Partin Ellington of Garner, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elmo Partin and son, Mark Partin. The family will receive friends Monday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
