Ruby Norris Baker

ANGIER– Ruby Marie Norris Baker, 90, went to her heavenly home on September 28, 2020, to join the many family members who had gone before her: parents, James and Esther Barbour Norris; husband, William “Judd” Baker, Sr.; son, Joseph Baker; twin sister, Ruth Beasley, and other sisters, Lovenia Hamilton, Christine Norris, Katherine Searcy, Janice Sais, Betty Norris; brothers, Avant Norris, John Norris, Wilbert Norris, Robert Norris and Aaron Norris; granddaughter, Pamela Gardner. A private graveside service will be held for the family at a later date. She leaves behind to honor and cherish her memory; daughters, Linda Gardner and husband, Wayne of Angier, Sandra Smith of Angier; sons, W.J. Baker, Jr. and wife, Katie of Angier, Johnny Baker and wife, Zenia of Durham; sister, Mary Owens and husband, Ersel of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Adam Gardner and wife, Melanie, Tina Cottrell and husband, Damon, Billy Baker and wife, Mary, Danny Altman and wife, Darlynne, David Altman and wife, Veronica, Amy Pope and husband, Michael, Jessica Gazso and husband, Jonathan, Amanda Baker, Camila Velasquez; great grandchildren, Jacob Gardner and wife, Jaimie, Jared Gardner and wife, Christina, Seth Gardner, Robert Tomastik, Hudson Tomastik, Autumn Baker, Jacob Medrano, Jeremy Medrano, Austin Altman, Connor Altman, Grayson Pope, David Altman, Perla Flores, Olivia Galloway, Natalie Galloway, Ashley Gazso, Katy Gazso, Daisy Coleman; great great-grandchildren, Jacob Gardner and Abel Gardner. Ruby was a Sunday School teacher for the Primary class at St. Delight PFWB Church and Angier Fellowship Church for many years. She loved teaching the children about Jesus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Rubys memory.
