Russel R. Rotruck

RALEIGH - Russell Royce Rotruck, 75, died February 22, 2013 along with his beloved pet Jack. He was the son of the late Gerald and Katherine Rotruck. He grew up and lived in the Maryland and DC area until moving to North Carolina where he married his wife Anne Owens Rotruck. He was a self-employed contractor in the Raleigh and DC area. He had a passion for the beach as well as flying and held licenses as a Pilot and Boat Captain. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a former member of St. Christophers Episcopal Church in Garner. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday February 26th at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Fellowship Baptist Church, 5029 Old Stage Road, Raleigh, NC. He is survived by his wife Anne Owens Rotruck; step-mother, Edith; brother, Robert Rotruck and wife Barbara of Castle Rock, CO; step-sister, Jacqueline Martin and husband, Leonard of Mt. Airy, MD; sons, Russell, Jr. of Rockville, MD, Jeffrey, of Chambersburg, Pa., Steve and wife Christine of Gaithersburg, MD; daughter, Sherri Weschler and husband Joe of MD; step-sons, Greg Free and wife Maggie of Centerville, VA, Scott Meares and wife Cathy of Clayton, NC; step-daughter Angela Johnson and husband Shane of Clayton; grandchildren, Nicki, Sam, Sarah and Tyler; step-grandchildren, Brandon, Mandy, Joey, Kayla, Taylor, Cody, Maxine and Maggie, Jake and Zack.
