Russell Gowin

Clayton- Russell Milton Gowin, Jr., 91, passed away at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kitsap County, Washington, he was the son of the late Russell Milton Gowin, Sr. and Hallie Heath Gowin.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Betty Gardner Gowin; sons, Steve Gowin (Bobbi) of Los Angeles, CA, Bryan Gowin, Sr. (Shannon) of Santa Clarita, CA; daughter, Tina Cielen (Randy) of Huntington Beach, CA;; stepdaughter, Jenniffer McMillan (Perry) of Leland; stepson, Jeff McLean (Rhonda) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Alexis Heisdorf of Fountain Valley, CA, Bryan Gowin, Jr. of Santa Clarita, CA, Ryder Cielen of Huntington Beach, CA; step-grandchildren, Kerry Doute (Mike) of Leland, Ally McLean of Boston, MA, Lindsey Garvin (Larry) of SC; and a great-granddaughter, Rosie Gowin.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Taylor.

A celebration of Russell's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 10th in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 E. McIver St. Angier, NC 27501. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
