Russell Ward Stancil

GARNER- Russell Ward Stancil, 74, passed away Wednesday at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Reuben and Nell Walters Stancil. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 13th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Rita Graham Stancil; daughter, Melissa Rich; son, Chris Norris; sister, Carolyn Gardner; brother, George “Skippy” Stancil  (Sandra) and grandchildren, Emma Rich, Haleigh Norris and Presley Norris and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael “Mickey” Stancil and his sister, Linda Wall. The family wishes in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
